I decided to head on up to Tahoe on Friday. Things didn't go exactly according to plan and I ended up leaving late in the afternoon and was snarled up in traffic.I ended up snarled in traffic on 580 Eastbound for a good hour and a half... Apparently a van with 12 people inside flipped into the center divide, killing 5. Below are a couple of gore-free pics as I passed by. It wasn't the first or last snarl-up. I should have left earlier, but sometimes things just come up out of the blue...
By the time I made it to the motel, checked in, and found my way to the nearby restaurant, it was nearly 9:30 and I arrived just as folks were finishing up. I had my dinner during their after-dinner conversation... it worked out fine! That's Louie Ott on the left, then(around table clockwise) his wife Chris, Brian's wife Jolene, Brian, and Gerry's wife Sara(I think I have that right, if not let me know).

After dinner I headed back to the motel. I checked, and the sharks seemed to be slumbering peacefully.
It seems that GTS sharks prefer to sleep alone...
