Notes:

 

  1. Only published sales results are included, whether or not the transaction was finalized is not known.
  2. High value private transactions occur, but there is no published documentation.
  3. Bids for vehicles that did not satisfy auction reserve amounts are often sold privately for higher values than indicated.
  4. About half of the high value sales are for the mid-model 1973-74 cars, the other half are the late model, 1975-76 cars.  Few early cars (1970-72) make the list, the early-model cars are underappreciated and undervalued.
  5. AutoAtlanta, and the high-profile auction houses command the highest prices, and sold about 1/3rd of the cars on the list. Kudos George. thumb3d.gif
  6. The 2.0L cars are the most sought-after, but the 1.7L and 1.8L cars can command very high values. The highest values reflect originality and condition more than engine size.
