So, upon hearing that the tech sessions were beginning, I headed to where the action was starting. Don't worry, everything soon became much clearer...

Lucky Eckman, pointing at Devek's senior mechanic, Ross... saying, "It's all his fault!" as Ross looks bewildered... "I could have swore I fixed that..."

Evidence of a leaky front seal on the tranny.

This car had Mille Miglia wheels all around, with about a 3" section added to the rears to fit some huge meats under there. I don't remember exactly but I think they were in the neighborhood of 345s.

It looks as though in addition to the big meats, a generous portion of bondo seems to have been added... presumably the weight helps traction.

Very nice S4

Kibort's "Holbert" car, rear...

And front.

Dash... note the Halon nozzle forward of the shifter.

Seating arrangements. Note the central Halon system activation handles forward of the fire extinguisher and at the far right, next to the power shutoff. Safety first!

Somebody let a little green frog into the pond...

Sterling's stroker again. Talk about walking softly and carrying a big stick...

Overview of front lot with event in full swing:

The paintless dent repair guy was there too. He made BANK that day... Nice work too.

A fellow watercooler:

Some overflow parking:

Pasha interior....

It's in very nice shape.

Richard's(blau928) blau, very blau 928:

Not sure whose interior this is, but it sure looks nice...

A view from the front lot out toward the street:

OK, I have a theory on this next pic. My theory is, that Marc Thomas secretly owns the little coin-op car wash down the street from Devek where I took this pic. What I really want to know is, is it easier to replace the brake booster and ABS unit on the model shown at the top with the "special" hood?

A couple doors down from Devek is a VW parts shop. There were some interesting cars in front of the place... like this original 1962 dune buggy conversion.

That's quite a stinger on the back there. My lens wouldn't go to a wide enough angle to take it all in. When I asked the owner how far he could launch an average-sized potato out the exhaust pipe, he was not amused. Some people just don't like to talk about their cars.

Now this thing was a very strange beast. I'm guessing it makes about 10 horsepower at most RPMs, peaking at 150hp between 5700-6000 RPM. This guy didn't seem to want to talk about his car either.

A peek alongside the motor at the fully gutted and redesigned suspension:

A look inside makes me realize that even when you strip the inside of a bug, it really looks no different than it did to begin with...

That's quite a chunk of fiberglass on the front there. You shark owners that complain about having to worry about scraping your front spoiler on driveways... quit yer whining! All joking aside, the owner of this bug had obviously invested a lot of TLC and love into his project. It sounded nasty as hell when he started it up and drove off. I have a feeling he's not shy about all the showy stuff on the car because it goes like a bat outta hell.

A look at the exhaust on one of the cars that was on a lift back inside the shop:

Same, another angle:

Another look at that 16V engine. No, it didn't make it out to my car. Oh well.

A shot taken during the raffle....

And another
