 Frenzy V :  October 12, 13 & 14, 2001

RALLY

The First Annual Loudoun County (Virginia) Winery Rally will take place on
Sunday, October 14th beginning at noon. It will begin at Curry's Auto
Service on Moran Road in Sterling, VA and will end in downtown Leesburg, VA.
There will be a wine and cheese reception in Leesburg following the rally.
Prizes will be given to the top three winners of the clue competition and
the rally poker game. This rally is part of the Frenzy V festivities
scheduled for October 12th through 14th. The cost of the rally and the
reception is $15.00 per vehicle.  The rally is estimated to take about
2.5 hours. The reception will be from 2:30 until 5:30.

Each car is required to have both a driver and a navigator. I also
encourage you to bring a clipboard and a pen.

There will be two competitive aspects of the rally: hunting for clues and
rally poker.

General Rally Instructions and Hunting for Clues:

You will be given a packet upon the start of the rally. The packet will
contain a set of directions, clues to find along the route, and sealed "map
cheat sheets" in case you get lost. You will be provided a phone number to
call in case you need assistance. The starting times will be staggered
about two minutes apart. There will be five stops along the route. Each
stop is at the entrance to a winery or a brewery in Loudoun County. You do
not have to drive into the winery. There are several gas stations along the
route if you require fuel or a restroom break. Along the way there will be
clues the navigator will have to look for. Prizes will be given to the
three teams that find the most clues.

Rally Poker:

The object of rally poker is to build a poker hand by getting a card from
each stop along the rally route. Prizes will be awarded to the three teams
with the best poker hands. Each card will be in a sealed envelope. Do not
open the envelope until the end of the rally. The cards will be placed in a
black mailbox at the entrance of the winery. The mailbox will be labeled
"PORSCHE RALLY STOP" and will have the PCA Potomac logo on it. There will
be a full deck of cards at each stop. Additionally, you will be given a
card at the beginning of the rally and at the end. for a total of seven
cards. The game is seven card straight, so you will use your five best
cards as your hand. If you draw a joker, you are an instant winner of a
prize and will be given another card in exchange for the joker to compose
your hand.
