Welcome to my car's web site!

The car you see before you here is my second Porsche 911.  This model is known as a 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera 2 S.  I'd owned a 1978 Porsche 911SC from 1997 to 1999.  It was my first Porsche. The car was great, but it was not great for me as I need a more comfortable car with light clutch and A/C.

My current car is what I always wanted and was not able to own before.  And an event that happened to my life made me change my mind.  Basically, I was giving a second chance to live. I started to change my life style and doing things that I wanted to do that I was too conservative to follow my heart.  Life is short.  I have to live my dreams.  I didn't want to have to think back and wished I had done some of the things I wanted to do.  Enough about my background already.

97' 993 Carrera 2 S at the Lake

This car was bought in May 1999. It had 6700 miles on the odometer when I first laid my eyes on it.  I was looking for a replacement Porsche for a while by this time.  I almost purchased a 1994 911 3.6 Turbo, but I decided not to go through it.  It was partially because of the price, maintenance and besides, the new wide body 993 was my all time favorite car.  In its current configuration the car has the following options (see table below).  So far I have only driven the car less than a thousand miles.  I am still not used to the car yet, but I am getting better at it everytime I drive it.  There are some draw backs to owning a car like this.  For example, I feel uncomfortable when the car is parked in not ideal parking space.  I worry too much and this is why owning a convertible is not possible for me.
