24.03.2001 8:44 AM - Another update to the mechanical section. I am working on the CV joint repair and shifter housing installation today. Would love to get back on the road, and maybe get to do a computer project in Max next weekend. Like the install 8-)

18.03.2001 8:00 AM - Updated the Mechanical section this morning, and I will add the first article to it later on tonight. I did a write up on how I repaired my exhaust, in specific my muffler. $20 in tools and supplies, and about three hours work, and sounds and runs like it was new, well at least the muffler is good ;-)

18.03.2001 10:29 PM - OK, got the gratuatist banner working now on some of the pages. I am hoping that Rennlist won't give me problems with the AZNES banner. Its just my private company that I do work under on the side. I actually only have the banner in a rotation or two on the computer pages. You will notice when I setup the CVS system so you can check out the latest source code that it will be housed off my aznes.com domain. Anyway, more plugs for everyone else, at least the ones I like from the list. Let me know if I should add your banner or link...

18.03.2001 9:29 AM - Check out the Software page to find out more about the type of software MAX is running. I have started to fill the page in with more of the details as to what he is currently running, why, and the direction we are currently going with it.

I also found out yesterday that we finally found an old picture of my first 914 that I had. It was originally yellow as well, but I repainted it in Guards Red of course. I learned my painting skills and experience in the USAF right after highschool. Anyway, will post the pic when it arrives and I can scan it.

MAX is having mechanical trouble right now, I am working on fixing the CV Join and the broken shifter casing from the CV Joint coming loose to 1 bolt.

17.03.2001 2:36 PM - Who's your copilot when you drive? No, sorry, mine isn't God (Cannon Ball Run joke here 8-)), instead I have a Jack Ball for a copilot, and an spare in the glove box when the first is tired and worn out! Maybe this is why I keep loosing my CV Joint ;-)

17.03.2001 2:06 PM - OK, just got done with the beginning of the Computer page, so you can see the system that is sitting in the trunk of Max and start to find out what my pages are all about. More to come as I have time ;-) Its tax season though, and I work for a company called E1040.com now, so its a busy month. The EPanorama.net link below is a great link for general electronics info, projects, and etc.

17.03.2001 7:56 AM - What a night... anyway, its early and was browsing and working on my pages and adding a few links like Brad's '70 when I noticed on Brad's page the link to Paul Wier. This was a real trip back in the past for me. Max is my second 914 I have owned. I owned my first when I was about 20 years old (8 years ago), and I used to work just down the street from Paul. I had the chance to stop by their many times and talk with him and drool over the car's and engines he was working on. Very nice shop. I had him perform several repairs on my previous car, and was very happy. Really was a nice guy to deal with.

I have also added the about page now... the rest of the links are broken, I know... I am working on getting the framework put up this weekend so that I can get the projects on the road... hehe literally huh...

16.03.2001 8:36 AM - Well, this is the start of the new web pages. I will be adding more of course, but right now it is what it is, and that isn't much ;-). Just a lot of broken links so far, but at least I have the layout done. Please excuse the banner, but there are some good company's and organizations out there that I would like to show some support for on this set of pages.

MAX914 will be mostly an open source project. I only say mostly as their might be a few pieces of software that are more custom configurations then anything else that I will want on MAX only, so I just will not release those here on the site. Otherwise, all information that I provide off this site will be GPL (GNU Public Licensed) so you may use it as you wish, and contributions to this project are greatly apprecaited. By contributions I mean participation in the project. Lets computerize all the cars we can! But mainly lets make out teener's as smart as they are beautiful ;-)
