History

All records from new, originally purchased new in Oregon subsequently  moved to California, then brought to Indiana in 1999 where I purchased it , and moved with me from Indiana to Massachusetts in 2000

When I purchased the car it was in very good shape but paint was faded from its life in the sun

The car was subsequently completely refurbished in the Spring/Summer of 2000. Car has 10k miles since refurbishment.

Car was taken down to bare metal for a complete repaint, all trim and glass were removed

All new body gaskets and rubber seals were used for reassembly including new Porsche hood badge

New Siglia front windshield was installed

New Euro H4 front lights, and euro rear tail light lenses

Genuine Porsche Carrera tail and installation kit with all mounting hardware  from Porsche  along with new chin spoiler

Targa top was recovered and new headliner installed

New german silverknit Champagne carpet set, including front trunk in champagne silverknit,  Lloyds '911' script mats

Interior completely redone in Champagne leather (door panels, rear panels, rear seat cushions, rear deck)

Factory sport seats in full champagne leather

New Porsche factory dash installed with new  defroster vent trim

Momo 930 wheel with Porsche crest horn button

All black exterior trim and door handles were  powder coated

New engine sound pad

All engine compartment decals replaced with factory pieces, including engine lid decal with emissions specs

Porsche factory black leather shift boot installed with MOMO shift knob

Numerical oil temp gauge

All new rotors, pads and stainless steel brake lines, new master cylinder

Turbo tie rods installed

Original equipment 7 and 8 x 16 black centered Fuchs

Drive train

The engine had no problems but while the car was down for a cosmetic refurb it was decided to refresh the engine at the same time and gain a little performance

Engine was rebuilt with all new bearings gaskets etc., pistons and cylinders were checked and reused with new rings

Complete valve job with porting of the intakes to 78/79 specs and matching porting of the intake runners to match

Cams were reground to 964 specs

Rockers reground and polished

Rocker shafts polished

Rods resized and new bushings

Crank magnafluxed and micropolished

All new (24) steel head studs and nuts

New intake and exhaust studs

All engine hardware replaced with new

Factory exhaust removed and replaced with SSI heat exchangers and factory dual in / single out sport exhaust

New club sport engine and trans mounts

All sheet metal refinished

All oil lines replaced

Engine has Carrera tensioners with updated oil lines and supports and pop off valve

Distributor backdated to 78/79 with an MSD 6 ignition box

Front trombone loop cooler replaced with Euro 28 tube brass cooler and installed using factory mounts

All heater hoses replaced with high temp silicon ducting

Heater system backdated with new Porsche parts (engine mounted electric fan removed)

CV joints inspected and all new boots installed and joints repacked

New transmission shift rod seal installed and filled with Swepco

Factory short shift kit installed

Car was already lowered to Euro ride height
 

Other Items

Complete AC system was removed and boxed and bagged
It is all there and could be reinstalled

All removed items from engine heater ducting to factory exhaust and heat exchangers boxed and can be reinstalled

Car has approximately 10 000 miles on it since the work was completed and is in excellent condition.

Has  factory Porsche CR-1 stereo cassette from 1995 993 and  JBL speakers on the rear deck

I'm sure there are some details I've left out but you get the picture.  Car needs nothing and is a beautiful and fun car to drive

Car currently has 130K miles
