Route 66 Autocross School
April 15, 2000
Route 66 Raceway
Joliet, Illinois
Hosted By:  Porsche Club of America, Chicago Chapter

Every year, the Porsche Club puts on an autocross school.  It's a great way to learn how to drive well, and it'll take weeks to wipe the smile off your face.  Co-driving was Russ Burke.

Tech Check.  I LOVE that 4S in front of me!
Wow!  This is only 1/2 of the parking lot.  There were more Porsches than I could count at this event.

Getting ready for the first event.  Wow, is that helmet hot with the visor down.
Sitting in line at the slalom course.
Russ taking his turn in the slalom.

Returning from a lap of the slalom course.  This lap got a standing ovation from the judges!
The hard braking drill.  At least I didn't kill as many cones as the kid in the Supercup car!

The skid pad.
Another lap.
God, were those BFGs loud!
