Garage Mahal:
Round One - So It Begins

May 14, 2005:
This is just the beginning of a new section. I have a lot of plans for this garage. I intend to transform it into a usable workshop, hopefully one worthy of the title "Garage-Mahal". I'm writing this near the end of June, and it has been a very hectic six weeks since these pics were taken. I had to move during the month of April... a sudden change of plans that fell on a month where we planned to be out of state for 10 days... The first pair of pics were actually taken May 7. That's how things looked before any effort was made to straighten things out... we had just moved everything onto the property, then focused on unpacking essentials like clothes, bathroom, and kitchen. By the 14th I had managed to spend an afternoon getting the garage unpacked and somewhat organized, with the results you see in the last two pics. I have spent a ton of time doing little stuff... running a dryer vent across the house in the crawl space so it no longer exits inside the garage... fixing screen doors, plumbing, wiring, getting CAT5 cable pulled for DSL... and on and on. As of this writing I have also completed two other fairly major projects toward turning the garage into the Garage-Mahal, and I have lots of pics... but I had to get with it and update this site with photos from the last two events I've attended, Sharks In The Park and Sharks At The Lake... links above and below. Looks like I'll have lots of material to post here in the near future, so check back...

Now that I've updated the site to this extent, I can work on getting the next two Garage-Mahal sections added, and begin catching up on my backlog of shark projects. Number one on the list is giving the shark a bath. In these pics it has been without bath for nearly two months. Here it is a week and a half after SATL and I still need to give it a bath from that. Things seem to be easing up a bit now, so I ought to be back to a regular schedule and a clean shark. Stay tuned for updates...
