NorCal Pizza Run - November 26, 2005

Well, we had a pretty decent turnout... when I arrived at the meet place, there were already several folks waiting around, talking cars.

Just some friendly gabbing, waiting for a few stragglers to show up.

The trip up Highway 9 was very fun, not much traffic at all. The weather was clear, and there were no hazards this year(too bad you missed it, Danno). First stop, Vista point. The roads were very quiet, I guess everyone was still in a turkey-tryptophan-induced torpor. We had the roads pretty much to ourselves.

Some pics of the cars that were in attendance. Black 968...

White 968...

White 300ZX... the guy had just bought it and had plans to subdue the front bumper a bit....

Nice early Targa

Yes, even Bimmers are welcome...

So we went on up the road a bit, North on Skyline... which, if you don't know already, is a fast 2-lane that runs right along the top of the ridge on the spine of the S.F. Peninsula, with occasional views east into the valley and west to the ocean. Pure driving heaven. We stopped at the intersection at highway 84, which is another incredible 2-lane that leads to the coast. Here's Nicole's S4, Ron's 86.5

Hangin' out across from Alice's Restaurant...

So we dropped down 84 to Highway 1, and headed north to Half Moon Bay. There were some lane hogs running well under the speed limit on 84, but once past them it was smooth sailing until we started to hit lights on 1. Here's a pic at the Half Moon Bay Brewery, from one end of the table...

And from the other.

Good times, good people... See you next year!
