SharkSkin's 928 Pages
Devek Days 2005 - August 5-7, 2005

This year, I didn't take a ton of pics, but here's what I came up with:

I arrived a bit late, around 10, and all of the prime spots(IMHO... the ones that would be in shade after noon) were taken...

There were already a dozen or so sharks in attendance.

Bill Ball's Jag/Eaton SC'ed shark on the left, George Suennen's Vortech SC'ed shark. Both "Open Road Race" cars, both street driven regularly... though George's car is moving steadily closer to "race car only" status. Dang, should have taken a pic of his nifty new fuel cell installation...

My shark, sunshields up.

A unique 928 aquarium conversion...

Rick Kong brought his gorgeous 328 GTS for us to gawk at... It was definitely the winner of the day's "chick magnet" award, with several ladies wanting to go for rides, some even taking the helm...

A peek at the 3.2l 32V CIS-injected V8.... neato.

Apparently air quality in the shop is an issue at times....

The rest of these pics were taken on the Sunday Fun Drive. the next five were taken on the bridge approach.

The next three were taken by just pointing the camera, not even looking. This is Eric & his wife...

Random shot aft, showing the Bimmer that hung with us for a bit.

Jennifer doing crosswords while Keith drives...

Coming down the backside of the main span. This is the Dumbarton Bride; the southernmost of the bridges that cross the San Francisco Bay.

We stopped for a rest & photo op at the base of the hills in Niles. Another chance to socialize....

Bit wider angle...

I'm not sure where this black 930 split from the pack. Gorgeous car though.

Very nice interior too.

This is a 1936 Holden-Built Australian RHD Chevy. Very Unique!

In this view you can see the high-tech HVAC system...

Here the owner is doing some last-minute detailing. Just so happened they were doing a photo shoot in the same parking lot we stopped in.

Here we are at the second stop.

We stayed just long enough to hop out and snap a couple of pix...

Then we continued on around Calaveras Reservoir, finally ending up at a Mexican restaurant in Milpitas. The yellow Targa was the only air-cooler to stick with us all the way through. What follows are just some random pics of the school of sharks.

All in all it was a very fun event. I'm definitely looking forward to next year!
