This is engine number 6149359, taken from VIN number 9114112275, a 1974 Targa originally delivered by Forest Lane Porsche-Audi in Dallas. It has 89,700 miles on it. The engine runs; the car was driven up until the time the engine was removed, but it has a noticeable knock. It was checked by a Porsche dealership mechanic while in the car an running and was found to have low compression in the number 5 cylinder. He indicated that there do not appear to be any loose or pulled studs. No repairs or further diagnosis were performed.

This engine was replaced with the correct engine for my 1977 911S.

The engine is largely complete and is for sale as pictured. Note that the coil and coil wire were used elsewhere, and the left side heater hose is missing. The CIS and intake system are in great working order. Heat exchangers/exhaust headers are in good condition; quiet and solid. The A/C mount is correct for 1974.

This is a good solid core engine. It can be shipped on the pallet as shown.
