In 1987 I started dealing with a company in High Springs FL called AFA
sales.  They sold 928 parts exclusively and had a 928 owners club.  In 1988
they moved to Stuart FL and changed their name to Gardner and Humphries.  A
few years later they changed their name again to DH Industries
which is the company I bought in 1993.  Just as I was a customer who bought
parts from these companies before I started 928 International, the other 928
businesses were my customers before they started their companies. I even
sold Dave Roberts his first RMB and Marc Thomas shocks and springs.  I think
all of us (the big 3) filled a void that was not being met.  With that
competition the customer has benefited greatly with better service, more
information and lower prices.  The best part is I've had a great time doing
it.
