Are there any drawbacks? I would think that a race engine deserves a new set of bearings. Costs less than $100 for bearings and nuts, and you will know what you have. Pay special attention to #2 and #6, as these are usually the first to go in a track car. If these are worn more than the others, you might want to reconsider your options.
