Body and Paint:

This is my 912 when it first arrived at my paint and body man; "Elij".  My friend Graem Elliot's red 65 912 is behind it.

The 912 was at Elij's shop for one year!  That's a years worth of cob webs on the steering wheel.
I was sooo patient with him :-)

Elij was concerned with a few areas of the body.  The rust in some places had pitted the metal in such a way that he could not completely remove the oxide deep inside these pits with chemical stripper and sanding.  We had to send the car to a media blasting shop via a flatbed truck.

Here is a photo of the 912 after the first coat of primer.

That is my friend Elij holding a can of "Budweiser".  He had more than a few "Buds" while working on my car. Elij, however, is a very interesting character and he always makes me laugh! He really did an excellent job.  Thanks Elij.

The paint looked great.  I was anxious to drive my baby at this point. The paint color is the original car color called "Aga Blau ".  It makes me wonder why someone should have wanted to paint it a red/brown color.
