Information on the SC MKI MR2
From 1988 to 1989 Toyota brought the MKI MR2 to the US market with the 4AGZE engine.
This cars power to weight ratio is an impressive value, but it is its fun to dollar ratio that sets it apart.
I have sold my 3rd MKI SC. I think that it was one worth keeping, but I had to make room for a car to go racing and the little SC was the victim. There are many examples of this car on the market that have been abused or overused, if you can find a nice one, hang onto it(even though I did not...).
I have purchased them from $1600-3300 with conditions that varied. I even tried to buy a pristine white 89 that the owner decided he could not sell after running an ad in the paper!
Among my other cars I have owned are MKI NA's, Highly modified MKII turbos, Porsche 911's (turbo and non) 300zx TT (highly modified) BMW 2002's etc- this car may be the most fun to just drive.
