Finally... I have a modicum of time to work on the 1975 914 2.0 I bought a year and a half ago.

At last, the kids are starting to get old enough that I can take covert 15-30 minute trips to the garage to do a little work on the teener.  For a while I thought I would never get a chance.

Anyhow, I have discovered mechanic's gloves (latex gloves).  Great when you only have a short time in the garage and you might have to rush to an emergency (or break-up a fight...).

The plan is to overhaul the FI system and get the engine shroud off to clean the jugs and the oil cooler.  On the way I will be removing the broken down smog pump, air injectors, and air conditioning compressor.  So far the FI is off.  The fuel injectors have been cleaned and tested (Marren Motorsports in CT).  Some of those tin attachment screws are pretty stubborn.  Then there is the rus.........t....

Progress so far

The cramped quarters...

A few annoying problems... (comment & suggestions welcome)

More to come (if I get the time)...

Other stuff...
