HERE IS WHAT WE DO KNOW ABOUT THIS CAR:
- The engine is a 2 liter Euro S spec 911 with 901 transmission
- The engine and transmission are mounted in reverse
- There are two engines with the car, a '67
and a '68 both are ROW S spec
- This is a mid-engine mount, the engine is in front of the rear wheels
- The mufflers in the photos were just added to keep the neighbors happy,
this car ran with straight pipes
- The frame is aluminum square tube / monocoque design
- There are disc brakes on all 4 corners
- The rear suspension fills up the inside of the rear wheels so the brakes are
mounted inboard
- Rear suspension is reported to be a special rocker arm setup that
eliminates rear wheel camber changes
- The livery is white with "SNART Racing Team" and "3" on
the body
- Not all of the body panels are shown in the photos, this car is like
the girl you described to your friends as "having a nice
personality". She is not much to look at but the thoughts of
a flat 6 with only about 1200lbs weight and a center of gravity just
above the paint on the road makes you want to take her out.
- There is a stamped plate attached to the body with the
following information:
- SNART Model 2-B
- ALM001-P911-0001
- It is believed that the car competed on the U.S. east coast during the 70's
in group B / 2 liter class
