Remove all Screws
It's rusty, do not force screws or they will tear the fog light housing.
Drill their heads out and deal with them later. Pull the fogs, turns and covers and rubber US add-ons. Drill the rivets out from the turn signal side.
AccessOpenings
Drill two rectangular holes aligning closely with the bolts for the fog light casings. Try not to kill the reinforcing struts cast into the bumper.
Unbolt the Fog Light Case Mounts
Insert a very strong magnetic telescoping retriever tool through the drilled access holes from the turn signal side, and make sure you attach
it to the nut and washer behind the double-sided bolt for the fog light (there are two). Push a big screwdriver (carefully) between the
US metal piece and the plastic bumper cover, where you've just drilled the rivets out. This allows you to remove the two screws holding
the fog light on. Remove the washer and nut rotating the telescoping tool 90 degrees to exit the hole.
Remove the nuts and washers
Clean everything, and buy some new screws for the fog light lenses. Use replacement nuts, or swap the locking nuts from behind the bumper
cover, with some of the non-locking ones you removed earlier - this is necessary because you have no counterhold power behind the bumper
cover, and locking nuts don't do well that way.
Make New Nuts
Superglue the nuts to the concave washers. The pouty side goes up, and later will face forward.
Insert the New Nuts and Washers
Holding the edge of the washer with the magnetic telescoping tool, insert a nut/washer assembly through the hole and rotate it until you've got the
pout pointed into the hole in the bumper cover. Now, gently screw the fog light housing bolts (2-sided) on and tighten.
Instal the Fog Light Housings
From this point, it is simple. Reassemble everything. Keep in mind that the housing mounts may need a little realignment since they have to fit into the fog light housing holes. Once aligned, the washers and nuts will pull the mount bolts through those holes as you tighten each one. Also you may want to add anti-seize or thread sealer to your fog lens bolts. As I say ... they always rust.
