opportunity to Concours your 928 (or other Porsche)? What about a rally to scenic Loudon County wineries in the fall? Then the 2001 928 Frenzy V is for
you!
The Potomac Region of the PCA is again sponsoring
the annual “Porsche 928 Frenzy”.
This years Frenzy includes five separate activities over three days: a driver’s
education event and informal reception on Friday, Oct. 12th,
Frenzy V and Banquet/Quiz on Saturday, Oct. 13th, and
a “low key fire drill” Concourse, Dyno day and Rally on
Sunday, Oct. 14th.
Frenzy V kicks off with “FATT” (Friday at the
Track) at approximately 8:00AM on Friday Oct. 12th,
with a driver’s education event at Summit Point Raceway followed by an informal
reception at the Holiday Inn Washington Dulles beginning at 7:30
PM. The reception will feature open bar
and light hors d’oeuvres.
Frenzy V begins at 9:00 AM (registration opens at 8:30) on
Oct. 13th at Doctor John’s Motor Sports in Sterling, VA
featuring discussions, demonstrations and technical sessions led by national
928 experts including 928 Specialists, Devek, Car Care Specialists
and special guest Wally Plumley.
The Frenzy will feature Jay Kempf demonstrating an alternate timing
belt tension tool and the Tilos’ Car as seen in Excellence Magazine. Coffee, doughnuts, drinks, lunch and a shirt
are included with your registration fee. After the Frenzy, a Banquet/Quiz
is scheduled at the Holiday Inn at 7:00 PM
On Sunday, October 14th beginning at
10:00 AM a “Low Key Fire Drill Concours” and Dyno day will be held for all
Porsche models, with the 928 as the featured marquee at Curry’s Auto Service
in Sterling, VA. Judging for the
Concours will begin at 11:00 AM. Dyno
runs also at Curry’s Auto Service in Sterling, VA are scheduled from
10:00AM-3:00PM. Cost for the dyno (one
pull) is $25.00. Additionally, a Rally
touring Loudoun County Wine County and culminating at a Wine and Cheese
reception in historic Leesburg is scheduled. Check the Frenzy Website for latest details.
