Porsche: Resistance is futile

Interior look at the back Interior driver side

The interior is midnight blue full leather including the dash. The seats are sports model with large side bosters with electric height adjustments. Notice the back seats folded down with the "Turbo" script carved into the carpet. The dash is in stock form, above, pretty old tech compares to today's standards but I like it more over the 996's dash. It has the classic five round indivdual gauges that has been through the test of time. I replaced all the speakers from the out dated stereo system and the radio is next. I am tempted to install a complete stereo system with sub woofers but worry about adding weight.

The dash has been updated with an aftermarket carbon fiber kit from MA Shaw that will not damage the original surfaces. I thought about white/silver gauge faces but did not want to mess around with the original gauges. So, I got a set of aluminmum bezels to highlight the carbon fiber dash from Imagineauto. This conbination will make any 911's interior look good. For a closer look click on the picture. I figure the interior should look good because I spend a lot of time in it and unable to enjoy the exterior while the car is in motion.
This picture represents one of the wonderful experiences of my life. My dad, stand on right, was so proud of me as I took him to the PCA/OCR's Breakfast Club meeting late in 2000. Including last year, I had only seen my dad in two occasions in 20 years. He and my mom visited the kids (us) from Asian and went back home last December. I miss them a lot and hope to see them again within the next two years. I made an in-car video tape of me and the Turbo on Ortega Highway as a going away gift to my parents. My mom loved it but asked me not to drive on such roads again. Guess what, I will make more tapes for them.
I fell in love with Porsche a long time ago and did not realized it. I did not considered any other sports car model before I decided on a Porsche. It was more like which 911 model I like best and it was a straight and narrow path for me. Finance was/is a major issue when considering to purchase a Porsche of any kind. I had/have my reasons to accquire a Porsche. It was a long time dream, although I've just turned 31 years old. Being single with a steady job helps too. I would like to keep my Turbo for a long time but the idea of stepping up to a Polar Silver '96-'97 993 Twin Turbo with sports seats is very tempting.
The idea above is entertaining, exciting, and at least two years away. In the mean time, I am planning some minor improvements on this Turbo. Reduce turbo lag is my primary reason. The stockpower, 315 hp, is plenty for me. I hardly use all of it on the streets. What I like is quick acceleration from low speeds to about 100 mph. Since I have chronic back pains, amusement park rides are out of the question. The Turbo provides that feeling without getting hurt and still able go to work the next day. Torque is what I like and will modify accordingly to get that effect. Without internal mods, 360 - 400 hp is possible on this car.
I made this pencil-art style picture of my dad and the Turbo to simulate a classical look. My dad is 70 years old and doesn't know how to drive a car, only motorcycle. He looks more like the rightful owner of the Turbo than I am, don't you think? I wish he could experience the car from the driver's seat. I had some great moments with my dad on this Turbo. We cruised Ortega Highway, Pacific Coast Highway, and had farther and son talks. I miss my parents and wish that they will be back to enjoy Porsche passion with their youngest child. I was only 11 years old when I relocated to the US with only my sister and brother.
