Here is a shot of me at Bridgehampton in the spring of '94 in the 86 944.
Great car, great handling.
Here's another shot from Lime Rock.
This shot is taken as I'm going under the ITT Flyght bridge, and preparing to turn into Big Bend.
I loved the look and handling of the 944, but it just didn't have enough power. I decided I wanted a Porsche with more power. I thought about getting a 911, and I drove a few, but I couldn't find a car I liked for the money I had. Then I drove a 944 turbo S, and I knew that was the car I wanted. The problem was that those cars are sort of rare, only 700 or so built in 1988, and about 1000 built in 1989. They sold for about $50,000 new. Back in '95, they were going for $17-20. Anyway, I found a car, and bought it in the spring of 1995. I've had it ever since. Now it's pretty much a club racer only. I do drive it occasionally on the street.
I live in Long Island, NY (Suffolk county, if you know Long Island). I
am married to my wonderful wife, who puts up with me, and I have two daughters,
Corinne, age 5 1/2, and Janine, age 2 1/2 (as of 2/00).
Update, November 2001 - My son, Eric, was born March 2001.
Here's a shot of my girls before the Mt. Tremblant club race
Here's a shot of the family at Disney in Orlando, 2000.
That's Lauren, my wife on the left, Janine, the baby in her arms, and my
older
daughter, Corinne, in front of me.
