When the MFI pump drive belt is replaced, the pump mount must be loosened
to get the belt on...then the pump must be moved back and the belt tightened.
This tool is used to do this. It's a 1/4" thick steel square that I welded
into a slot cut into a 1/2", 3/8" drive socket. The steel square piece
is placed between the pump body and the side flange on the base...then
rotated with a 3/8" socket handle and medium extension...it cams the pump
body over and lets you hold the pressure until the bolts are tightened. |
