Side Vents Project Page

This is a view of the side vent. It directs and forces cold air into the carburetor.

This is just another view of the side vent.

This is a view with the scoop off, and shows the 924 Porsche K & N air filter. There is one on each side. This filters the air before it gets to the carburetor.

This is a view of the Porsche 924 K & N filter with the hold down brackets.

This is a view of the hold down brackets. All they are is aluminum angle iron, which are attach to the filter box with screws.

This is a view of the air filter box. I cut about a 9"x81/2" hole. Than I made a cardboard model; took it to the local sheet metal shop. And this is what I came out with.

This is a view of the air filter box in between the fender and outside engine wall. I cut out a 4" round hole for the flex hose to enter the engine compartment.

This is a view with the flex hose coming thought the side engine wall. I put a 3" reducer in the 4" flex hose. Than I connected a 3" flex hose to the carburetor. I covered the 3" flex hose heat resistant material to keep the air cool.

This is another view of the covered flex hose and you can see a little part of the carburetor cover/intake.
