Threshhold

O.K., so I lost the rubber threshhold on the drivers side of my 911. The replacement part costs $40 (german rubber is expensive). Just not in the cards.

A tyrip to home depot garnered me a 3 foot section of black rubber used as a kickpanel under cabinetry, perfect. All that has to be done is to:

  1. Measure and cut the rubber kickpanel to length.
  2. Measure the front and rear of the threshhold and cut the kickpanel to length (it will be a diagonal cut)
  3. Cover the non-glued areas with masking tape
  4. Affix the kickpanel to the threshhold using 3M weatherstrip adhesive
  5. Remove the masking tape
Done!, ~$8.00!
