DAS Rollbar Installation

As seen in the photos below I have painted the rollbar to match the wine red color of the car. The overall quality of the DAS Roll Bar was very good and only minimal sanding was required.

After sanding the bar and taping off the sticker, I primered it with two coats of gray. I wet sanded both of these coats and let the bar dry in the sun for a day.

I finally applied three coats of enamel, wet sanded, and polished the bar. The color is not perfect, but it is close enough for me.

The front of the bar mounts to the frame where the front outer seat belts bolt in. The seat belt bolts are replaced with eyelets that the belts are then attached to. The rear of the bar mounts to the rear seatback pivot points. The seatbacks are removed and hardened bolts affix the bar in place.

I like the bar a lot. I plan on entering driving schools, so a bar was required, but I like the idea of having rollover protection reguardless. Besides, it sets the car apart a bit. I saved the rear seat backs and other extra parts so I can pull the bar out if I ever want to.
