WHY: A caravan of 928s to Anaheim California for the 2nd Anual "SHARKTOBERFEST" at 928 International.

The Plan: Meet up with fellow 928 owners or enthusiasts(you dont need a car to attend) and drive together to the event. Last year we had 4 cars convoy and it worked quite well. Its reassuring when you make the trip that you have others with you incase you encounter any "928isms" : ) It would be great to see as many people as we can muster up attend. Im sending this out a month prior so you can hopfeully make plans. This year promises to be MUCH bigger than last year from what i can gather. Last year was a great turn out in its own right for the first time event.

 

Feel free to email me or call me whether you can attend or not. If your schedule doesnt fit the "caravan" down there, you are DEFINITLEY more than welcome to go "solo". I would just love to see you all at the event, thats what counts!!!

Last Updated: August 23th, 2004 - 11:20 a.m., PST   NOTICE: We apologize for a problem we had the reservation name setup at the host hotel. It was listed under something else rather than "Porsche Club." As of today, right now, Monday, August 23rd - go ahead and call the hotel and mention you're with the "Porsche Club" to get your room rate of $69.00.   Again, our apologies for any inconvenience this glitch may have caused. We hope to see you out here in SOCAL for the event!

  Sharktoberfest 2004   Join us and 928 International again for the 2nd annual Sharktoberfest gathering. To get you started, we'll be having a reception at the host hotel followed by a Saturday program that all takes place at 928 International, including tech sessions (with a twist), a barbecue lunch (provided by Mark Anderson) and an afternoon drive!   For our Sunday program this year, we are proud to offer a day of activities at the Petersen Automotive Museum, including an exclusive tour of the Petersen "Vault." We will be having an informal concours on the roof, parking cars indoors at the Petersen, arranging for lunch and going on a special tour. Did you know the Petersen has their own 928S? See how it stacks up to your own! You would not believe the amazing things the Petersen has in their vault. Don't miss it!   Last year, 80+ rumbling "sharks" and over 130 people turned out for a three day event that we plan to top this year. We will be well taken care of at our host hotel this year, owned by a fellow 928 owner and centrally located. If you've already reserved at the Marriott, you may want to consider switching your reservation to the Holiday Inn as many event activities will be located there. Plus, we've arranged for a great rate for Sharktoberfest attendees.

• 9:00am to 10:00am arrival/parking/greeting

• 10:00am to 11:00am Tech Session #1-Greg Brown/Precision Automotive-discusses common ailments of the 928

• 11:00am to 12:00pm Tech session #2-AC discussion over R134A and R12 pro's and con's & Tech Session #3 "Real Cars, Real Issues" outside in parking lot

• 12:00pm to 1:00pm BBQ Lunch, sponsored by 928 International!

•1:00pm to 2:00pm Tech session #4- Indoor tech session concerning electrical maintenance at the same time. Tech Session #3 "Real Cars, Real Issues" continues in Parking lot.

• 2:00pm to 2:30pm Announcements for evening activities, Petersen as well as prep and map for "Shark Attack" fun drive

• 2:30pm to 5:30pm Shark Attack (route to be determined)

• 5:30pm to 7:30pm Hotel for rest and clean up
