These are some of the shots i took at Sharktoberfest. Comments added here and there.

Many thanks go out to Dan Bise and the SOCAL Group as well as Mark Andersaon and crew at 928 International www.928intl.com for hosting the event. Cant wait until the next one!

It started for us at 1130am at the TA travel center just south of Las Vegas. Well, 1145 for me.Sure, i organize our Vegas caravan and I'm the last one to show up...I had just got done topping up my tranny fluid. (slow leak at the converter seal) and the time got away from me..i was having SO much fun! Even put my shirt on inside out i was in such a hurry! Classic! Thanks for the tip off Phil.

We had a total of 4 cars, others couldnt make it because of various commitments. We hit the road at exactly 12 noon and reached the hotel appx 4hrs later.

...Andy and Phil in trail

....Steve...

CHP....Where???

...UH OH, wheres Steve?!?!?!?

...ah, the cause of a minor delay.

..the guilty party catches up and meets us the next exit ramp.

We were cruising along just fine in traffic when a BMW decided to tag along with us. Crusing along at exactly 82mph werent we Steve?? : ) Im not sure of all the exact details but i guess the Bimmer kept zipping in and out of traffic and stuff. Well, Steve finally had enough and decided to get in front of the bimmer. I didnt see the "infraction of the law" but MR CHP did as he merged from the on ramp just behind and unknown to Steve. DOH!!!! Lights went on and Steve was pulled over. We kept going until the next exit ramp 1 mile down the road and waited. We had swapped cell phone numbers prior and my cell phone rang. It was Steve, wondering where we were. I told him not to worry as we were waiting for him down the road. About 10-15 minutes elapse , he shows up and we are a group again. The CHP officer gave him a warning for an unsafe lane change and told him that 82mph wasnt going to cut it either. Steves answer to us "my wife would have been disappointed if i came home with a ticket for only 82 mph" .....Thats the spirit huh!!

...gas and munchie stop in Lenwood

Yup, Brown, Very Brown and various shades thereof! I wasnt witness but apparently "the brown, very brown 928" put a vette (c5 i think) in its place along Miraloma Blvd! (Jim wasnt even at the wheel!!)

Now, I had only ever seen a display like this in a Porsche brochure. This is how you drop an engine and driveline! Very good idea!

hey, weld in a seat and add the steering to this puppy and lets go!

...Delivery of Marks new shop truck. NO JOKE! This car hadnt been started in about 6mths. Mark tossed in a battery and next day it was on the fun drive!

....the 928 International, 4 man Sharksled team in training!...... (the car wasnt a sled on the fun drive!)

..Come on guys, faster! Marks son at the wheel.

..should hold two blocks quite easily, although i think Mark may put two Subaru Brat seats in the back instead

...registration booth..Dan Theeee Man (center) welcoming us all....Keith with a few words

...a bunch of grateful owners and cars in attendance.....80+ cars

...checking out Robs GTS with voice navigation. You'll see it in the '04 928Intl catalog. Very cool device..mobile(take anywhere)..hands free..no screen to be studying or distracted by. Sweet car as well. White on Blue and for sale!

Tech Session stuff including electrical, HVAC, a timing belt tension and removal on an engine stand, as well as anything else anyone had a question about.

Good stuff and well presented

...Greg Brown

.... John Venniger PCA 928 Tech talking about elctrons

Whats the name of that game show where contestants run through a dept. store with a shopping cart and have to gather as much as they can in a minute??

SOCAL had arranged a 928 only parking spot at the hotel for us also!

...my German Pride and Joy. I look at this pic and cant help but think of the timeless style, design and beauty of these cars. Nothing comes close.

.....1st order on the list before the fun drive! The nerve of someone placing a drink on a rear wing.....geeez ..."who the..." ; ) !!

......gathering for the fun drive"..uh..which way...then uh...what??"

Seriously though, a VERY well laid out brochure detailed EVERY aspect of the event, including maps for the fun drive and mileage checks. VERY well done!

..Andy and Phil...My car at the over look. Whos finger nails are those embedded in my door trim? Marshal?..........

..Rut roh! Blown heater core hose!

SOMEBODY was recruited to do a hotwater valve zipectomy.(kept the water from reaching the leak) Im sure those pictures are out there somewhere. The engine wasnt hot...naw...not at all!

As close as my shark has gotten to the Pacific.

..Lunch at Gladstones! MMMmmm MMm. Cold beer and good food sure hit the spot after the fun drive! Great choice of locale!

...Bill, wondering if his rear seal will hold up for the drive back : )

.."we have a winner"...door prize time.

Dr Bob (left). and Steve.

The big winner, by his very gracious doing, was Steve one of our Vegas guys (same guy that got pulled over on the way down) . He won the auction for a dinner and cruise in Coronado Bay hosted by a fellow 928 owner and spouse. (sorry, i forgot your names!!) The winning bid was $220 with the proceeds going to Dan Bise to help cover his out of pocket expenses for the event. Very cool.

Side note..i think Jen silenced Keiths bidding at some point. : ) .....that was very funny. (had to be there)

Thats about it. Thanks for tuning in!
