To check the wear on the clutch: Remove the rubber plug on the bottom of the bellhousing, and check the position of the release lever. 1978 - 1982 The wear limit has been reached when the front edge of the lever just appears in the inspection hole. 1983 - up The wear limit has been reached when the front edge of the lever reaches the end of the inspection hole.
