They fitted perfectly without any spacers and the car runs and steers much nicer. Look on the inside of your rear wheel at the back of the "spokes". On one spoke there will be a "raised" cast-in part number. There will also be a similar "date code" cast into your wheel in the same area. (This is assuming that your wheels are the factory Speedline units and NOT reproduction replacements!). On original factory "GTS" rear wheels, you are going to find the following part number: 993.362.128.00 Surprise, surprise.... the factory '94-'95 "GTS" rear wheels are in fact "911" (or more technically correct, "993") wheels! Because all measurements and features of the wheel are identical irrespective of whether Porsche installed them on a rear-engined, air cooled car or a front engined V8 powered GTS, they carry the 993 part number. Also, on the exterior side of the wheel, on either side of the valve stem hole you will find two numbers. One will be "9", which is the width. The other will be "55" which is the offset. There is NO difference in the offset on the REAR wheels of either car, both have 55mm offset. So go ahead and shop for a "911" wheel (most folks refer to this style as "993/Cup 2" wheels - this differentiates them from the "Cup" or "Cup 1" wheels found on '92-'93 GTS, the 968, and various 964 (pre-"993" type 911's) cars that Porsche built in the early to mid '90's). The rear wheels are identical. The fronts are NOT. I'm using these same # 993.362.128.00 wheels on the rear of my car. They were originally installed on a '95 993 that the owner chose to "upgrade" to 3-piece modular 18" wheels. This part # wheel will fit ANY pre-GTS 928 and has NO clearance problems (inboard or outboard) as long as wheel spacers are not being used. Wheel spacers can be/are used on GTS cars because the rear wheel openings can accommodate the extra width. Hope this helps. I won't get into the "repair-vs-replace" issue, except to say that these wheels are relatively cheap and quite plentiful in supply on the "used" market. A benefit of the introduction of 18" (and now larger) wheels. Brad Orr '78 euro 5 speed
