FWIW, the Weissach Edition #206 - #215 928's and 911's (and #406 - #415 911's) were Porsche-family owned vehicles. Along with the Special Green Extended 928, the special Porsche Prototype coupe with the PORSCHE emblazoned tread, and the the various other prototypes. None of these vehicles has ever been available to the general public. It is surprising that someone outside the Porsche family has been able to acquire one. If it is indeed one, it will be a Euro, and the color was up to the discretion of the family member which was to be the owner. Al, you may want to find out about the PO, and how the car got into the public. This will give it more value. What color is it? It sounds like a great price. I'm envious, though I love my 81 Competition Package. You can get more info (build date, engine number, equipment, warranty info) I'm sure you already know from Carletta Cannon at PCNA by getting your own COA and making inquiries as to standard and optional equipment. Did you get the luggage? The wheels should have a bronzish golden hue to them. Here is an excerpt from Susann Miller's compilation, Porsche: Power, Performance, and Perfection: "The special model 928 followed in the tradition of other Weissach specials, with a limited production of only 205 cars. Mechanically, everything was the same. The difference was in the champagne gold metallic scheme with matching brushed gold-colored alloy wheels-- a beautiful combination. A spoiler was added to the rear hatchback window and another to the lower front of the nose. The interior included an electric sunroof, a digital radio, and special two-toned leather throughout. The best addition was the three-piece Porsche luggage set that was made from the same leather as the interior. If you happen to get the chance to buy one of these special edition 928s, I wonder if the luggage will still be part of the deal!" Miller, p. 85.
