You don't need no stinking interior shop to do it. This is a detailed (probably too detailed) description of how I did it: Tools/materials: Wire cutter, wire insulation stripper/crimping tool, flat head screwdriver, spool of black/red electrical cord, electrical tape, soldering iron and two meduim male spade connectors,. Procedure: Pop the back off the seat side plug with a screwdriver. Use a soldering iron to remove the plug connector pins from the wires. Take about a foot and a half of electrical red/black cord. Split the two ends between the positive and negative wires about 1". Strip the insulation about 1/4 to 1/2" on the four wire ends of the cord. Bundle all the red (+) wires from the plug together and solder them to one end of the red (+) wire of the cord you prepared. Do the same with the brown (-) wires from the plug to the same end of the black (-) wire of the prepared cord. Use electrical tape to insulate the soldered connections well. Then use more electrical tape to wrap the two together for strength if cord is pulled on when seat moves back and forth. Take two medium spade connectors. Crimp them onto the Red and Black wires so that they are in a "T" in relation to each other if you were looking square at the end. I belive the (+) is the top of the "T" and the (-) is the body of the "T". You can double check by looking at the color of the wires leading to the plug in the car. Then you plug the electricals together and bolt the seats in with the allen head bolts and rectangular bar nuts (only way I can describe them) that preveiously held your 84 seats in. Piece O' cake. Much more comfortable and adjustable than the early style seats. In the late 70's Porsche went to a standard foot print for the seats in all Porche models. I believe it is any Porsche made after 77 you can swap seats between. The only difference is that you will find different electrical connectors on some model seats, so you will have to do a bit or wiring work to have all the electrical work. That is my experience.
