There is no way of detecting VASCAR because the timing equipment doesn't put out any signal. The trooper clicks one toggle when you cross the first line and another when you cross the second. They already know the distance between the two lines and the machine prints out your speed. The only indication of VASCAR is the white lines painted on the highway. By the time you notice them, you've probably already been timed through them and you probably won't see the trooper that's checking your speed. Until he pulls you over that is.
