The cars were tested on a Dyno Jet 248H, and each car took two runs. They are listed in order according to increasing corrected horsepower. Any notable modifications have been listed. Note the awesome torque numbers of the 5 speed S4's. Pretty amazing, especially considering Mark's has 122K miles on the odometer. From my ol' 79 to Bill Farrell's 93, we got close, but no one broke the 300 mark. Herewith the hp details (best of 3 pulls, all done in 3rd gear): Bill Farrell 93 GTS, AT 285 Mike Mahoney 89 S4, 5-sp 279 Bob Voskian 89 S4, AT 272 Don Hampton 85 Euro S, 5-spd 247 Tony Metty 81 US, non-S, 5-spd 180 YHS 79 Stuttgart Hybrid 290 Two 911s and a 930 were supposed to join us, but apparently felt intimidated by so many dentist's wife's cars:) Now, for the next "test", Mssrs. Farrell and Mahoney will join Gary Knox, John Veninger and me at the upcoming DE at Pocono, on the long course, Monday & Tuesday, 10/30&31. Any other takers? Go to www.cvrpca.org! Best regards, David Lloyd Farmington, CT 79 Euro, Stuttgart Hybrid....anybody got 10 hp layin' around?:) P.S. Re Mark Anderson's post about the GTS intake tube "collapse", must need his 500 hp to do that. No sign of it on Bill's GTS. Most GT's put down about 290-300 hp and S4 270 - 290hp, both bone stock. The tq numbers on S4 are generally about 10-20 ft lbs higher than those on a gt..... The Sunday morning dyno session has about 1 or 2 slots open....reserve your slot NOW! hope to see many of you at DEVEK DAY 2001 "A 928 Odyssey" Marc DEVEK
