From: Jim Bailey [jim@928intl.com] Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2002 9:10 PM To: 928 Subject: [928] Re: Supercharged 88s4 - RRFPR Often the rising rate fuel pressure regulator is plumbed in series with the stock fuel pressure regulator so under "normal" driving the stock unit is in control but under midrange and boosted conditions the second RRFPR kicks in and limits the amount of fuel bypassing the regulators increasing pressure . The injection brain expects to see higher intake pressures (less vacuum) when the butterfly is wide open but with forced induction under part throttle conditions it can easily have high intake pressures ( no vacuum ) or some boost .
