The only reason that there isn't an RMB for earlier cars is that it can't be bolt-on, so isn't commercially viable. There is no convenient joint in the exhaust, so most owners couldn't install one. It would be a very simple thing for any muffler shop to cut the rear muffler off and weld on short pipes. Go to a large auto parts store that specializes in accessories and pick out a couple of tips that you like, and have a shop cut and weld. Should be cheap and easy. Yo neighbor John, You can unbolt your rear muffler and take it to a talented welder. He can jig the flange and the exits on the bench, then cut the can out and weld in straight pipe replacements. It shouldn't take him an hour and 2 or three pounds of cheap pipe at $0.50 a pound (high conservative estimate. A race shop or custom house is best and you certainly have more available where you are. If you can't get it done let me know and I will find someone. The only reason the pre 85 RMB doesn't exist is because it is to easy and cheap to get done. Jay Kempf 79 US 5ish speed (Mit ANSA)
