The total weight of a 5.0 "short block" is 182 lbs. (plus the weight of
the cradle nuts & washers), as follows:

1.  "naked" block, no cradle, no guts, no oil pump, no nothin'...80 lbs.
2.  lower cradle...24 lbs.
3.  crank...52 lbs.
4.  rod and main bearings...2 lbs.
5.  pistons/rods/rings...24 lbs.
