The only "forged" pistons are in GTS. All others are cast and in many cases, have visible weaknesses. Other than the gts, all rods are "sinter" forged, or powder metal technology and not true forgings. The only real forged rods are in a GTS. The only good forged rods are the ones in a 94 and later GTS, in all 92-93 gts's - porsche recommends that they be changed any time the engine is dis-assembled for any reason...same for a 968! The cranks of the non GTS are all 6 counter weight and non-twisted forged. The porsche stroker, the gts, is an 8 counterweight and forged. The DEVEK stroker crank is a 8 counterweight and made (carved) from an English billet forging. Marc DEVEK
