Black/blue is instrument light circuit in this case. You might want to consider rewiring the lighter. It is normally switched, so that you lose power to the lighter socket when you turn the ignition off. Some people prefer a constant-on lighter socket. I went to an auto parts store and bought a three-outlet extension cord for the lighter socket. I cut the lighter plug off the wire, and wired it to the heavy power and ground wires that feed the stereo amp under the cover by the right seat. (I would strongly suggest an in-line fuse here!) This gives me three unswitched power outlets for the cell phone, the GPS and the laptop. Wally Plumley 928 Specialists
