Help ! Your ignition switch is shot. The one way at the back of the key structure. The electrical part. I will bet if you wiggle the key or turn it back away from the start position gently after starting that you can make that symptom go away. It probably takes 4-5 minutes for the key to go there naturally. My guess and I am sticking with it :) Cheap part and pretty easy job for a mildly talented contortionist with small nimble hands.
