If you install a non-amplified antenna, your FM performance will be poor, and your AM performance almost non-existent. The antenna amp is indirectly the cause of poor radio performance on many 928s. The power feed wire for the antenna amp is a small black wire that runs down the antenna lead-in wire. It is very, very common to find that the stereo installer hooked it to ground, rather than to a switched power source. Wally
