Based on input from several listmembers here and at the old Porschefans list, I made a simple yet effective brake fluid flush gismo using stuff off the Home Depot shelves, and a spare brake fluid reservoir cap. There's a complete write-up with pictures at: I also support Explorer owners, so it is posted in one of the Explorer owner's websites; Don't be discouraged by that... If you happen to be in the southern California area, Anaheim, Long Beach, to Arcadia, Pasadena, Glendale, you are welcome to use the one I have. For those folks who have not thought about it lately, the factory recommends no more than two year intervals between brake fluid changes. In that time, the fluid gathers enough moisture to risk corrosion of metal components like cylinders, calipers, and brake lines. Manual trans cars will enjoy having the clucth circuits flushed regularly too, cutting down the risk of having a footwell full of fluid when the rusty clutch master cylinder finally starts to leak out the back. (back is toward the back of the car...) Anyway, armed with the instructions and parts list, plus maybe USD$25 in room on your credit card, you can eliminate a lot of hydraulic excitement down the road. Oh--- your brakes will work a lot better too! dr bob
