Here's what will be required. The rear S4 and GTS calipers are the same. No need to swap them. The front GTS calipers, rotors, pads, and rear stone shield are larger than the S4 counterparts. Fortunately, everything bolts in the same as the S4. A common misconception is: the GTS calipers require 17" wheels. The general answer is "yes", but there are some 16" wheels that will fit over GTS calipers. (I think most OEM flatdish 16" wheels will fit over the GTS caliper. BTW, 16" wheels with RDK sensors will not clear the GTS calipers. BTDT.) However, if cooling around the rotor is important to you (as it should be) then 17" wheels (or larger) should be used. YMMV. ~ Merry motoring ~ From: mike monson [mmonsons@pacbell.net] Sent: Thursday, October 11, 2001 9:35 AM To: 928 Subject: [928] RE: GTS brakes on S4....Is it compatible with 1 another? Andrew, As others have noted the GTS brake upgrade is pretty straightforward. I just wanted to add, stock S4 wheels will not fit over GTS brakes.
