High Impact Colors

Please see my homage to a very rare 72 GTX.

Here are sample colors from Chrysler Corporation's Plymouth and Dodge High-Impact Paint colors (also known as Hi-Impact or "HIP").

The Dodge boxes (left) and Plymouth boxes (right) are the same image, as they are the same paint color.

The colored boxes are scans of the paint chip, and there are too many variables (including monitors) to assure a perfect representation

According to the folks at maxwedge.com, these colors were proposed but never accepted by Chrysler executives:

Is this fact or fiction? I have never seen it in print nor do I personally know any chrysler executives involved in those decisions.
If you know, please e-mail me so I can post the full story!
