My first 928 Rennlist post:

After an obnoxiously early flight, donating blood to the Porsche gods and
600 miles in a car with no a/c and two guys experiencing catastrophic
deodorant failure, I arrived home at midnight with my new baby. A 1983
928S purchased from fellow lister Steve Lewis. You know, the car he was
considering parting out? I can't imagine parting this car out and to
anyone who didn't jump as quickly as I did, you missed a great car. She
ran flawlessly for the entire trip, rock solid and stable cruising for
hours at 80mph...with the occasional run to 120 (feet/day of course). It's
kind of funny that we put more miles on it yesterday than Steve did in the
last year. And talk about comfortable. No back problems, no soreness at
all, very easy to drive. I was really impressed with the seats. The only
thing that hurt was that bump in the floor right in front of the
accelerator...kept making my ankle twist and was a little sore after
several hours.

WOW! That sound! Drew lots of looks from people every time we
stopped. Talk about a great way to get to know a car, take a long
trip. I've got a list of things to do, mostly little stuff, with the a/c
number one on the list, but it's really a fantastic car and I'm very happy
with it. I can't wait to dig into the cosmetic restoration and really
makes this car "mine." Thanks so much to Steve for making it an easy
purchase and being so straightforward about the car. Super-nice guy and I
hope he rejoins the fold soon.
