S4/BIG RED upgrade for your old bugger
The process of upgrading to the S4 brakes for a 78 through 81 928 is a relatively easy process. If you are doing an upgrade on an "S" it's a little more dificult in that you have to change the spindle for an early model "non S" but I am told those parts are available used.
Starting with the basic early brake as above you will be surprised how easy it is.
After removing the wheel and tire you will have to remove the caliper, the rotor, the hub keeping the bearings clean, and also the dust shield.
