Real cause of my exhaust leak
As I was without hope and begining to pull things apart to look for a broken stud I got a reply from a Rennlist member who told me that teh old cars have smog injection ports on teh heads and to check my plugs to see if one had come out.
Sure enough I found the problem right there and now only had to deal with the fact that it was the stud that was obstructed by everything. I got one in there and was so glad that I had not hurt my motor that I bought a new intercooler, but that is a nother story...
