Installing the oil cooler and finishing out the new front Bumper

This page has most of the stuff I did to complete the project.

Test fitting is all done, grinders and sanders have smoothed the oil cooler opening and now it is time to pullout the Carrera cooler and go big league.

At this point I also added the protective grating that will hopefully keep my BB cooler oil-tight.

In order to mount it I had to decide what to mount it to. I considered running mounts up from the nerf bar on my AC, but decided that I would rather take a more dircet route and use the latch panel. I did add a tab to the nerf bar which supports the cooler from beneath.

I installed the signal lights in the provided locations and they are both running lights as well as turn indicators so I am still legal.

I cut a piece of protective screen (available from Pegasus racing) to fit and mounted it behind the bumper with rivets and screws. It should be mounted solid enough to withstand anything that the mesh is strong enough to repel.

Everything is ready to go. I have test run the car and no leaks or problems there. I just need to remount the bumper which will be a pain now b/c the cooler and screen and lines etc are all in the way!
