1972 911T
I still have my 1972 911T with a 2.4L air-cooled flat six. I've always thought there was something extra lurking under the hood, based on previous owners comments and seat of the pants. I was told that it had 2.2L 'S' pistons and cylinders. It still runs with T cams, though, and I had the MFI rebuilt soon after I bought it (March of 1998). So it's obvious that it isn't in perfect shape. I have all sorts of projects planned. I just put in new shocks and a roll cage. Plus I finally had the chance to throw it on a dyno to see what kinds of numbers its turning. How about 145 rwhp? With 15% drivetrain loss, that's roughly 170 hp. Not bad, eh? See below...
