Mom and her new Corvair (1960) - Love of rear engine cars appears
to be genetic
1974 Dodge Colt GT and
1971 Volkswagon Karmann Ghia
(true story, a guy in a green 911S stopped me
once and offered to buy the Karmann Ghia)
1974 MG Midget -1275 cc engine, twin SU carbs,
Lucas Electric, a trick 4.22 LSD out of a Lotus,
endless hours trying to keep this car on the road (note the cool 50 series
tires on 13" rims)
Chevy Monza with a small block V8 and Cragar
SS mags - too much motor for the car, but would eat BMW's for lunch :-) It
was a cool car in a Mad Maxx kind of way...
1987 Chrysler Conquest TSi (Mitsubishi Starion)
very fast, 200 HP Intercooled Turbo, LSD, a poor mans Porsche, I modified
the wastgate myself to be adjustable from cockpit (octane boost required)
- ever seen a turbo glow cherry red after a hard drive ? This car ate
clutches almost as fast as it used tires and brake pads..
